This week has been a great one! We met with "H" one of our investigators. We taught her the first part of the restoration. She had read up until 2 Ne 9! (last time we met with her she´d read up to 1 Ne 4) She had also started making a list of thing she is grateful for in her life (something we´d asked her to do in our previous meeting to get her to focus on the good things in life instead of the hard things!) She had also prayed twice (and she had always told us before that she isn´t ready to pray and that she can´t do it) ..She was really excited to show us what she´d done and it was SO AMAZING to see that she had excitement and energy in her life again!! The gospel changes people!!! :D
Urmas came to the New Testament class that the Elders taught last Wednesday. He really liked it! He loved that he was allowed to share his own insights and thoughts during the lesson and that people were happy and friendly! When we met with Urmas on Saturday he informed us that he wouldn´t be able to go to church with us (this week, but next!) but he said that he had read the chapters we had asked him to (even one extra!) he had also read in the bible! He was really open and happy, he was smiling the whole lesson!! He happily accepted a baptismal invite for April!! We told him that if he´ll follow the commitments that we give him and apply the things he learn from studying the scriptures He will be ready by then and have a testimony of his own! It was a wonderful lesson!! He even said that he´ll go to the new testament class on Wednesday even if we are in Riga! He knows a few members, he´ll be in good hands!

Something I´ve been thinking about alot this week is about recognizing the small good things we do instead of focusing on the bad things, mistakes or things we could do better. There´s ALWAYS going to be things to improve, but it´s also really important to see and recognize what good you do. Lately I´ve been stuck in a bad spiral and only seen the things I could improve on, it´s not very uplifting! But this week I´ve been trying to follow my own advice that I gave to "H" to see the GOOD things in life. Focus on the positive and not what I did wrong. Focusing on things I do that are good that take me closer to becoming the person God has intended for me to be! This morning I read Dieter F Uchtdorfs talk "Of Regrets and Resolutions" that he gave last general conference! It helped me a lot!! I don´t want to have regrets and not having enjoyed my life because I was too busy focusing on what I did bad, I want to enjoy my life in the here and now, serving the Lord and seeing the things that I do well in helping his children coming closer to him.
It´s like the scripture says: "..by small and simple things are great things brought to pass.." (Alma 37:6)
Have a great week and keep up the good work!! :D
