Tere tere!! How are you all doing?!
This week we´ve done a lot of knocking! I don´t think I´ve ever
looked as so many doors as I have the last two weeks! :P A few days ago
two cold sisters coverd in snow were knocking on the doors, since the
first snow of the winter now has reached Tartu! ..well most of it left
again but that first night was cold and VERY snowy! Me and Õde Tholen
were completely covered, we looked like "snow women"! :P Lots of people
offered to let us in for a couple of minutes to warm up even though they
weren´t very interested. So at least I know that the Estonians are very
warm and friendly! ;)
A few nights ago we dropped by a less-active woman from the branch.
She´s had a surgery fairly recently and she´s stuck at home. We decided
to pay her a visit and so we did. Almost as soon as we were let in she
asked if I could play the piano, I said "just a little!". She made me
sit down by her keyboard and play along to hymns that she played on the
stereo, it didn´t go great since I only know how to play about 5 hymns
and she didn´t pick any of those.. we ended up singing along instead.
When we left we were all in a great mood! Music really brings the spirit
and cheers up your day!! :)
Speaking of singing! Yesterday at church we brought an investigator
with us. We were really excited that she had agreed to come along! We
found her in the Area Book, she was taught about a year ago but never
came along then, we we´re very excited when she accepted our invitation
to come with us! :) ..Anyways so we were sitting in the sacrament
meeting and the Branch President announces that today we don´t have
anyone to play the piano, since the one sister who knows how to play
wasn´t there, he announced that we would be singing along to a CD
instead. So he started the CD but it played to slowly so he ended up
turning it off, so we sang acapella, but the members here sing so
quitly, that I could only hear myslef and Õde Tholen! :P ..Our
investigator was sitting in between us, so she got a personal "concert"
with harmonies and all! ;) Me and Õde Tholen practise singing in
harmonies every morning when we do our companionship study, so all that
pracising payed off yesterday! ;)
Have a great week!
Armastusega,
Õde Peterson

Isn't it great how consistent companion study prepares you for the day? Great example.
