Tere, tere!!

Saturday it was raining outside and a "Back to school" festival was going on in the center of Tartu so we decided to go home and work on the Area Book and call up less active members! We got 2 of them to promise to come to church and they DID come! we were so excited! One of them hasn´t been here in forever because there´s an Elder here who has served about 13-14 months here in Tartu and he had NO idea who that man was. So that was really exciting! He also promised to come back next Sunday!

We met up with Liisi twice this week once with Ave and we watched the Joseph Smith movie and then we ended with bearing our testimonies about Joseph Smith. The spirit was really strong and I KNOW Liisi felt what we felt. She said I feel like it´s true too. It was really cool! The second time we met with her we got to go to her home. She released her two birds which scared me half to death and one of them sat on my shoulder for a while. Then Liisi´s dad came home from work and we were so EXCITED to meet him. For a while we´ve been feeling that maybe he´s not really ok with Liisi talking to us -that we couldn´t really progress with her until we had talked to him and made sure everything was ok. He was more than ok with it. He isn´t very interested in being taught but he has nothing against Liisi being taught. So we finally felt that we can move on with her! Their family of three, Liisi, her dad and brother (mother past away a couple of years ago) seems like a member family without the Gospel.. They are so cool. And I have a feeling that some time in the future the gospel part will be a part of their family- even if it might take some time.

Ardi- We taught hem the Word of Wisdom a little over a week ago (I think.. it´s hard to keep track of time!) and when we followed up on it he said that he would give it a trial run for 6 months! :) It´s a good thing that he realizes that it is something that takes time - though he´ll soon realize that it´s intended to be lived longer that 6 months! ;) He came to the sacrament meeting and he also fasted. We had taught him about fasting and how it can help us receive answers. We committed him to fast about the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith and if getting baptized is the right thing to do! He accepted the challenge! He is so cool!! He does everything we ask him to do and he really realized that the only way to know is through trying it yourself!

Being on a mission is the best thing I could ever have done!!!  Life has never been so hard but I have never been so blessed and so happy!! :)

Have a great week!
