Tere tere!

This week we´ve had a lot more member present lessons than before! mostly with one member though! ..others got sick or were busy but this week Õde Kivimäe was our HERO!! she came a few times even though she only got a few minutes notice before she had to run and catch a bus!!! She happily came and helped us! - a TRUE hero!

I love music and music is such a great tool to bring in the spirit!! Sister Tholen and I have been singing in a few of our lessons and yesterday when knocking we sang. It was a wonderful evening and we got to be a good influence in peoples lives if only for a few minutes! :)

This week I´ve had several confidence boosts when it comes to the language! I´ll share two of them right here!

 

One was on the bus, I started talking to a young woman, she was born in Russia but has grown up here in Estonia! She asked me how long I have lived here in Estonia, I said 5 months, she asked what I was doing here and when I had explained that I was here as a missionary she asked my why I chose to serve in Estonia. She then said: "Off course you knowing the language already made the choice a little easier.." I chuckled and then had to explain how we get called and that before I received my mission call I´d never even heard Estonian before! Her eyes grew huge at that remark!

The other one happened last knight as we were out knocking! We knocked into a Spanish family (which of course made me think of Anna and her upcoming mission to Spain!!!) That family has lived here in Estonia for about 9 years as catholic missionaries. When they came here they had 4 kids, now they have 8. They seemed to be a very loving and happy bunch! Before we left the mother asked us how many years we had lived here in Estonia, when we replied that we´d been here respectively 5 and 2 months, her jaw almost hit the floor! "You ALREADY know the language?!" she replied . Both of those experiences were fun and a confindence boost but also a GREAT testimony to me that anything is possible with the Lord on your side! :)
