Tere tere!!
Transfers.. Elder Peterson is going home this week so the other
Elders will be in a trio and will cover two areas, other than that Tartu
is the same! We will be abnle to spend Christmas together! YEY! :) I
love my district so I feel very blessed to spend the holidays with them!
:)
...So we usually go working out on Mondays with the district, last
week I saw a man who´s T-shirt said: "Sverige" - a.k.a "Sweden" - in
Swedish. Off course I couldn´t resist talking to the man and I asked if
he was from Sweden, and sure enough, he was! (He had a very thick
Northern Swedish accent!) He´s retired and has lived here in Tartu for
about 4 years (His wife is Estonian), He pointed out the area where he
lived and I recalled walking past that area in the summer together with
Sister Christopher and seeing a Swedish flag. So I asked him if that was
his home! "YES" he said with a big smile on his face. I then went on to
say "oh we walked past there this summer and I was wondering who it was
who lived there". He then said: "You should´ve come by!!" ...Saturday
afternoon as Sister Tholen and I were walking around contacting and we
ended up in an area we haven´t been in so much and I realized that we
were really close to where that Swedish man lives. I asked her if she´d
like to pay him a visit and she was all in, so we dropped by! He and his
wife were home and they invited us in. We talked for a few minutes
about our purpose as missionaries, sang "I am a Child of God", and then
left them with an Estonian Book of Mormon and told them that we´d come
back later with a Swedish one when we´d found one! :)
This week has been amazing! I love Estonia, I love Tartu, I love
Öde Tholen, I love my district, I love being a missionary, I LOVE LIFE!!
Thanks for all your love and support!!
Armastusega,
Õde Peterson
