Chicago Airport, 6 April, 2.50 pm

So I’m in Chicago at the airport writing a blog entry yet again!.. this time I’m not as excited as last time! ...I’ve had two WONDERFUL weeks here in the states! ..I’ve had the opportunity to hug, cuddle and play with 4 of the CUTEST children in the world!.. I’ve also had the chance to attend the wedding of my awesome cousin Thomas and his superlovely-beautiful-and-great wife Lisa, it has been a great opportunity to get to know her better. They are truly a great match and I am VERY happy for them and love them both very much!.. I have a great, loving and caring family here in the states and it makes me sad that I have to leave them and go back home to Sweden. BUT, I’ll be back, for sure! (soon hopefully!)

During my visit I’ve also had the opportunity to meet and get to know new and old friends, with whom I’ve had lots of fun. One of the best things I’ve been able to do during my visit was to attend General Conference live at the Conference Centre in Salt Lake City. I attended all the sessions there.(Except for the priesthood session off course!) It was truly amazing and the spirit was so strong. The talks that were given were great, but also all the other things that happened around the site attributed to the warm and nice feeling of love and peace; the young people standing and singing hymns by the wall outside of Temple Square, people serving eachother and the smiling faces everywhere! I can only agree that ”there is strength in numbers”!. Beeing surrounded by thousands of people sharing my faith was absolutelly amazing! :D

Some places I wanted to visit and things I wanted to do when I came to the states was:

Meet up with Friends & Family:

  • Grandparents
  • Aunt and Uncle
  • Cousins and their families
  • Former Missionaries that has served in Sweden

Food:

  • In´n-out (I’ve heard much about it and I’ve always wanted to go there!)
  • Olive Garden
  • Blizzard at DQ (yummie ice-cream!)
  • Arby’s - CURLYFRIES mmmmmmm!

Places:

  • BYU library
  • BYU bookstore
  • Provo
  • SLC temple
  • Temple Square
  • Shopping Malls

I got to do EVERYTHING on that list and even more! (LOTS more!) I’ve been very blessed throughout the whole trip! During my visit I’ve even been able to squeeze in some time to write two essays for school! :) ..It’s been great to see everyone and I am sad to leave, but it’ll be nice to go home and see my sisters! ..It was wonderful to be able to share the experience of seeing the Prophet live with my parents but it would have been nice to have my sisters there too!.. Hopefully the whole family will be able to attend General Conferance together sometime in the future!
