February fun

I learned something today: Poetry can be fun! ..we had a workshop "Close-reading on poetry", it was absolutely AMAZING! ..I left the lecture hall with a feeling of excitement and curiosity. The teacher had helped me realised how FUN it can be to learn new things. At first it just felt really weird sitting there and trying to figure out what the poem was all about, but then he started giving small suggestions and asking some questions, to get us going. Soon I was actually reading the poem and interpreting what it said, then we got to share our thoughts with the class and the teacher was positive and said; "well that's a really interesting way of reading it", or "you've got a really good point there".. so it wasn't hard to share ones thoughts! ..for the first time since I started studying at the University I actually felt SMART, or like I might actually be able to STUDY..cause I CAN think.. it was COOL! ..not to say I'm dumb, but it was just some kind of an ahaa-experience for me!:D

So lately I've been busy with school and work, but last weekend I went to Gothenburg for Valentine's.. there was a big YSA activity over there, with lots of dancing and sports (I played volleyboll!), different workshops (including spiritual workshops) and then on Sunday we had a testimony meeting, it was a GREAT weekend! I got to hang out with friends and just relax and not think about work or school, which was nice at the time, but now I've got lots to do! ;) ...next week I'll be having my first exam, scary!.. it's a vocabulary test.. hopefully it'll go well and I'll pass! :S ..and then I'll just have to start to prepare for the next upcoming exam, but before that one comes up I'll be going to the US, to go to a wedding! ..My dear cousin Thomas is getting married to his LOVELY fiancée Lisa and I wouldn't want to miss is it for anything! They are a match made in Heaven! <3
